France 1940

(figures by Thomas Schäfer, vehicles by Thomas Schäfer and Ulrich Schulte-Ebbert, terrain by Thomas Schäfer and Ulrich Schulte-Ebbert, scale 20 mm)

French FT17 tanks. Old but still moving!

British Matilda I tanks supported by British infantry.

A German column advances west.

A mixture of ‘old fashioned’ horse drawn transport and modern vehicles.

The German military police directing the advance. The sign ‘Feldlazaret’ (field hospital) gives an idea of what will happen to many soldiers and civilists.

Horse transport was much more common than usualy believed.
